Its story

The recognition of Kui is mainly attributed to its distinctive position within the Orion constellation, which historically provided a convenient reference for navigation and star charting. Its location, relatively close to the boundary of the Orion Nebula, contributes to its distinctive visibility within the night sky. Because of its spectral type, Kui is likely a cooler object than the sun and likely rocky, potentially with volatile materials beneath the surface.

Kui was chosen as a symbolic dedication due to its prominent role in mythology, particularly in Norse and Germanic traditions. Throughout history, it’s been linked to concepts of the afterlife, journeying through space, and the boundless expanse of the cosmos.
