Timir

Available
Ophiuchus

Its story

Timir is recognized amongst celestial observers through its apparent position in the western autumn. This position within the constellation Oph makes it a relatively easily visible object to the naked eye. Its notable feature is its relatively gentle brightness, and its location on the right-hand side of the sky, allows it to easily navigate through the dark. Its spectral type is determined from multiple observations using the Gaia star catalogue. It is a blue dwarf, with an effective temperature approximately 4400 K.

Given its relatively fixed location in the constellation, the star's value serves to serve as a focal point, an anchor point for observational tasks, and a relatively simple representation in astronomical study. For many stargazers and observers, Timir represents a straightforward celestial marker in the nighttime sky -- a steady, dependable distance within the vast expanse of space.
